This class is typically for field supervision, foremen, project engineers, and superintendents. This course will introduce students to critical path method (CPM) scheduling. CPM scheduling is a planning tool to help keep projects on time and within budget. The CPM schedule is a valuable tool for determining what project issues impact the project completion. This course will teach how to properly document and present time extension requests and delay claims.
Following this course, you will be able to:
• Define the Critical Path Method
• Know the importance of the Longest Path and Float in CPM scheduling
• Understand the guidelines for developing a Baseline Schedule
• Know the common mistakes in performing schedule updates
• Know the difference between a recovery schedule and acceleration
• Be able to perform a schedule delay analysis
• Differentiate the three major types of delay
• Identify financial damages associated with delays
